Continuous reactive crystallisation breakthrough

Using advanced crossflow technology, Micropore has carried out continuous reactive crystallisation of spherical particles of CaCO₃ at laboratory and production scale.

Compared to batch processes, advanced crossflow crystallisation using a Micropore AXF™-mini shows a marked reduction in size and size distribution of CaCO₃ particles. It is straightforward to tailor this size distribution to meet different customer needs.

Reactive Crystallisation: Fe-O nanocrystals

Fe-O nanocrystals can be used as “theranostic” agents, combining therapy & diagnostics, and potentially allows replacement of toxic Gadolinium nanoparticles.
Fe-O material produced shows reduced particle size and a narrower size distribution versus batch production.

Reactive Crystallisation: Li₂CO₃

Li₂CO₃ acts as a source lithium for the treatment of manic depressive disorder (bipolar disorder).
